So today my husband, E, participated in a charity ride called Amy’s Ride here in South Australia with a few of our friends. He completed a 100 km course and was still able to smile at the other end (although he was pretty exhausted).

I’d like to congratulate everyone who participated in the event. E said he thought there was over 3,000 participants.
The ride was to raise money for the Amy Gillett Foundation. Their website says:

The Amy Gillett Foundation is a charity with one purpose – reducing the incidence of death and injury of bike riders.
The Foundation was born out of tragedy, the death of Amy Gillett, who was hit by an out of control motorist whilst cycling with her National Team mates in Germany. Since our inception we have been a catalyst for change, focused on what should be, rather than what is.

I know that some of you supported E in this ride by sponsoring him and both of us would like to say a big THANK YOU to you.
Anyone else who was interested in supporting this charity to make our roads a safer place for everyone, the fundraising page is still open here.
