I’ve (semi)completed another sewing project.

I always find the eye masks you can get at the shops uncomfortable so I thought I’d try make my own…

The top material is the same as my neck pillow and the backing is cut from an old child’s fleece jumper.

I was planning to add Velcro to the back to hold it on my head but at the moment I’ll just be tying it up.

It’s so much more comfortable than the other ones I’ve tried.

I love that it matches my neck pillow I made and I’m planning to make a rectangular hot/cold pack to match as well.

It’s great and you should be proud of your finished product. Ignore any jibes from family members that it looks like hasbve been bound and blindfolded!

:-p I need it to block out the light, especially when E reads in bed at night.

Well done! What do you fill your eye pillows with? I’ve used lentils as well as flax, I like to add a little lavender essential oil as well. 🙂

This one just has a little bit of rice in it. I haven’t added any essential oils at the moment but I’m considering it for future ones 🙂 I’ll definitely try lentils and flax in the future.
